When Not to Bid

When Not to Bid

A disciplined bid/no-bid decision saves more than it costs.

Pass if

You have no relationship with the buyer. The incumbent is strong and satisfied. You lack directly relevant past performance. The requirement is outside your core. You cannot staff it.

Bid if

You know the customer, you have done this work, and you can price to win and perform.
